Install the Plugin

Query documentation directly from your JetBrains IDE — PhpStorm, WebStorm, IntelliJ IDEA, or any other JetBrains product.

Step 1

Download the plugin

Download the latest version of the Query the Docs plugin.

Step 2

Install in your IDE

Open your JetBrains IDE and navigate to:

Settings → Plugins → ⚙ → Install Plugin from Disk

Select the downloaded query-the-docs.zip file. Restart the IDE when prompted.

Step 3

Get your API Key

Create an account or sign in to get your API key. You'll find it on the chat page after logging in.

Step 4

Configure the plugin

In your IDE, go to:

Settings → Tools → Query the Docs

Paste your API Key and click OK. The status bar should show QTD: ON.

Step 5

Start querying

Open the Query the Docs tool window at the bottom of your IDE. Select your Node.js version and framework, then ask any question about the docs.
